Reducing Waste This Year
We received our second Grove order on Friday and I can now honestly say it’s been the highlight of my month. It technically all started when my sister gifted a few of the Grove basics to me for Christmas. I quickly familiarized myself to their website and felt inspired with the products created with the earth in mind.

The hinged section of the Laundry countertop is finally installed and it’s everything I could’ve hoped for and more. It’s perfect! And now to walk into that space and see the countertop extend all the way to the wall is so dreamy.

Our red Oak Countertop
We're just about at year 2 in this house, and I'm excited for the changes ahead! In my 2021 Project List, I shared the mood board for our Laundry Room. If there's one thing I've learned along the way, it's that progress is slow and doing it yourself is slower. The number one reason for this project was to gain functionality in that space. The layout was terrible, and without doing any major changes, I came up with a plan to maximize the unused space just by changing out the countertop material.
Homemade Bird Treats
I took an unexpected snow day yesterday and really enjoyed myself. We had a winter storm Monday, and with no consultations on my schedule yesterday, I decided not to risk it. The morning started off slow, just as I like it. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that I made homemade bird treats Monday after being sent home early. My inner old lady is concerned about the birds and how they'll find food.

Weekend Recap: Headboard Update, Valentines Day Donuts, Laundry Room Update, and more
Progress was made in the guest room/office! Nothing big, just a new paint color on the headboard/footboard. We went from a nice blue to a classic black. Fun fact: the headboard belonged to my late grandparents. I love that I have pieces around the house that still remind me of them.

how to clean paint from a rug, guest room/office accent color, homemade dog treats and what's coming
My favorite part of each day is enjoying a nice cup of coffee on the couch before Dane and Lenna wake up each morning. It's so quiet and I'm alone with my thoughts. But the best part about the weekends are that I get more than an hour to do that before I have to start getting ready for the day.

Our Pantry edit
Last weekend I hopped on my Instagram stories and shared with you my current pantry situation. After almost two years of using our cabinet converted pantry, I finally felt like I had a good idea of how we used it on a day to day basis.

Our laundry room plans
Here in St. Louis, we're still experiencing temps in the 70's. Well, this week anyway. Next week looks to be a range between 63 and 55. From there, who knows? It's the midwest so you know what they say, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes'.
