My WFH status due to COVID-19 is still pretty fresh for me. But there’s just something about being within these same walls day in and day out that has me really taking my self-care to a new level. Like most, I haven’t put makeup on in WEEKS! And I think I’ve only worn a bra maybe twice. No, three times. And you know what? I kinda love it!
Of course what is going on in our world right now is terrible. Borderline traumatizing at times. And I’m following all of the rules. I haven’t left the house since my company asked myself and the rest of the design team to work remotely. I’ve been placing online orders for groceries and necessities, and if they don’t have what I need available, I jump online and figure out a way to make it. Only once has Dane had to run out as a minor emergency. Lenna is teething like crazy, and the Motrin went a little faster than we were prepared for. You can read more about that here. Aside from DIY Cleansers and Homemade bread recipes, this experience has really opened my eyes to homemade health remedies. So for those of you interested in a few natural ways to help yourselves, look no further! This book is everything you could ever imagine. The contents even breaks it down by system for you. From natural herbs and essential oils to immune boosting foods, this book is filled with so many good things. I think I’ll come up with a design for an outdoor garden table for the hubs to build so that I can start a mini herb garden. And I’ll definitely be adding some of these super foods into my next grocery order! For me personally, working from home has been so stressful! I always dreamt it to be peaceful. Like, I would wake up and have a cup of coffee outside while I listened to the birds. And then I'd come in and sit in my beautiful office on my fancy computer and I would be so productive. I'm even laughing as I write this. What a joke! I get up, and pray SO hard that none of the dogs make a noise, or that my coffee pouring doesn't wake Lenna. Because when she's awake, productiveness is a hard thing to achieve. She's 9 months old right now. She's in constant need of attention, and to me, that's stressful as heck when you're trying to get things done! So you best believe Imma be ordering me some of that Rose Essential Oil for a back massage! ;) If you're interested in picking up a copy of this book for yourself, you can find it on Amazon here. And if you do, let me know what you think you'll try first! As always, thanks so much for stopping by! XO -Heather
