My favorite part of each day is enjoying a nice cup of coffee on the couch before Dane and Lenna wake up each morning. It’s so quiet and I’m alone with my thoughts. But the best part about the weekends are that I get more than an hour to do that before I have to start getting ready for the day. This past Saturday I got to sit by myself until the sun came up, and it put me in the best of moods. Good thing, because later that afternoon Lenna dumped a half gallon of paint on my new dining room rug. I learned so much about how to clean paint off of carpet, and documented it over in my Instagram Stories. I even made it a highlight in case any of you are ever in a similar situation. You’re welcome. The weekend was also filled with little projects that keep me going I painted the accent wall in the Guest Room/Home Office, and we made homemade dog treats from spent grains a friend brought from his brewery too. You can read up on the recipe here. This coming week I’ll be working on ordering my seeds for our vegetable garden build. It’s time to be starting seeds inside and I’ve of course waited until the last possible second to get moving on it. I found this recipe for Baked Cinnamon Sugar Valentine’s Donuts and I’m definitely adding the ingredients to my next shopping list. If you missed the post on Wednesday, I dug a little deeper with our Pantry edit and shared all of the items we used. Check that out here.
