Progress was made in the guest room/office!
Nothing big, just a new paint color on the headboard/footboard. We went from a nice blue to a classic black.
Fun fact: the headboard belonged to my late grandparents. I love that I have pieces around the house that still remind me of them.
Another fun fact, did you know that I used to fix up and sell old furniture for profit? It was a fun little hobby that died when exhaustion got the best of me during my first trimester with Lenna. I’d love to get back into it.
Valentines Day was a nice relaxing day at home. I made the donut recipe I found and shared last weekend, organized and put away all of Lenna’s baby clothes, and ate my weight in sweets.
This week we’re expecting a winter storm, so I’ll be making some homemade bird treats to help provide food for our little feathered friends.
I’ll also be sharing how I paint furniture and how to seal it properly depending on your paint color.
Our hinged countertop section is curing and will be installed this coming weekend! It’ll be so nice to finally see the countertop go all the way to the window!
I sat down with Dane and asked a bunch of questions I thought you all would like to know about our countertops. What are the wood options? Which woods are considered a light tone? Which woods are considered a dark tone? Hardwoods vs softwoods, and why we ultimately landed on Red Oak countertops. All that and more coming this week!
If you want to see just how overboard I went with our vegetable garden seed order, go judge me here.
