These past few years, I've loved the holiday season like I never have before. It isn't the presents, the parties, or even the abundance of Christmas desserts I'll likely eat my way to discomfort with. Something about being a Mom ignited something in me this year.
It's the family traditions that have me so pumped,
I could hardly wait to put up my tree
Each year, my Mom, my sister and I get together on Black Friday and craft our hearts out for the upcoming Christmas season. Then the next day, Dane and I put up our Christmas tree and decorate the house while watching Christmas movies and drinking wine (or bourbon for him). Since having Lenna, we've added matching family pajamas to the mix.
Here are a few Holiday traditions you can give a try:

Host a Christmas craft day.
What better way to kick this list off than with the craft day I just mentioned?! In better detail, we each have a craft we want to make, so we bring enough supplies so that we each can make one. I can't wait to get home and add them into my Christmas décor mix! It's a nice reminder of the afternoon I spent with my family, and on Black Friday, what better way to finish off those Thanksgiving leftovers?!

Have a Christmas cookie baking party with friends.
Is it really Christmas without Christmas cookies?! Gather all of your friends for a night of baking while drinking a nice cup of spiked hot cocoa. Like a little friendly competition? Have a cookie bake off, Food Network style! Invite the guys over to be the judges.

Watch Christmas movies in matching PJs.
Why? Because everything is better in PJs.

Drive around to see Christmas lights.
I absolutely love driving through neighborhoods to see how other families are decorating their homes for the holidays. Grab a hot cocoa, turn on the Christmas music, and enjoy the ride!

Decorate a Tree O' Memories.
Since Dane and I started traveling together, we started a tradition where we picked up an ornament for each place we've traveled to. Each year, we have so much fun putting up our ornaments and reminiscing on the fun trips we've taken together.

Make handcrafted gifts for the neighbors.
Pinterest is fully loaded with inexpensive but oh so cute ideas to make for Christmas gifts. Your neighbors will not only appreciate the gift, but the thought and time you put into it!
What holiday memories do you and your family create each year?
