We hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did!
We spent time with family, took the dogs for a walk, learned how to do yoga (thanks Ash!), found homes for the hall tree and night stands we JUST posted for sale, and even managed to get a few chores done! It was probably the most productive weekend we've had in a while.
I had been wanting to try yoga for awhile, but could never find any good YouTube videos of beginner sessions. We did find one video we thought sounded promising about a year ago, called Yoga for Beginners...or something like that. All was going well until they went to handstand positions. ..I'm sorry, what?! You want me to do what?! Hard pass. I mean, I couldn't do it even if I tried. I have ZERO upper body strength. I can't even do a cartwheel.
So when my sister came into town after her yoga class Saturday afternoon, I was dying for her to teach me a few moves! So Dane and I headed over to my parent's house early Sunday morning for breakfast and a yoga lesson.
Two things I dislike about today's experience:
I'm guilty of being one of those girls who has 5-6 pairs of yoga pants but does not do yoga. I bought my first pair to run in...but turns out I don't like running anymore either. :)
Amongst all of the awesomeness this past weekend, we also managed to get our hands on a few more projects. This desk was first used by Dane, and then his sister Katie, so it’s special. I know whatever I do to it has to be just as special. It needs a fun feature or something!
I’ve been inspired lately by lined drawers, but with these drawers being so deep, I’ll have to do more than just the bottom. I’m thinking of lining the interior and exterior sides of the drawers as well so that you don’t miss the pattern when items are in the drawers.
Here are just a few of the inspiration photos I’ve been digging lately.
I cannot wait to get started on this project! Be sure to check back for updates on our progress!
Have any of you lined drawers with fun paper or fabric before? I'd love to see your end products in the comments below! :)
Thanks for stopping by!
