First of all, thank you for taking the time to stop by Dresden Avenue. Welcome!
We're so excited to have you here, and we're equally excited to be here! This has been a long time dream of ours and we are so blessed that we're finally able to make it happen.
Today started off early for us. Knowing that today was the day we wanted to launch our website, we (by we, I mean me (Heather)) got up easier than we do most mornings. So many things to finalize!! After making sure our four furry babies were fed, we headed off to our normal Sunday morning spots: Bread Co. and our nearest Lowes.
Just to be clear, we don't do this every morning...but since we've decided to make this dream a reality, we start most Sundays with a nice soufflé and coffee over at Bread Company while we work on our website. Usually, I'm drawing up new product ideas while Dane does all of the hard computer stuff, but I'd like to call it a team effort. Then we head over to Lowes to grab the supplies for my latest and greatest crazy idea. I really lucked out marrying a man who is so patient and willing to trust me with what I'm picturing in my head that day, even if they don't always work out how I had hoped.
My latest product craving was copper based. There's just something about metal that makes my heart melt. It's classy, industrial, eye catching, you name it! Swoon! After a few sketches, we came up with a really cool copper end table design. I'm not one to often toot my own horn, but......TOOT TOOT!! :)
This table was tedious, but SO worth the time and energy!
Now usually, I don't do drama. But drama with textures and colors is totally different! The shiny copper base paired with this wooden top is to DIE for! And the drama of this copper and deep blue color combo? I can't even.
What I love most about this table is how 'clean' it is. I live in a really old house. To be more specific, it's 104 years old. It has wayyyyy too many walls, and when I say these rooms are tiny, I mean these are tiny, people!! The clean lines of this table help my rooms appear less cluttered.
I also love that this table is able to go with any design style. I paired it with some travel inspired accessories to help give it that Old World feel, but put a few chippy pieces on there with a few vintage glass bottles, and you've got a rustic farmhouse styled table! Put a few streamlined modern accessories there, and you've got an industrial/modern table! The possibilities are really endless here.
I love this table so much, I think I may keep a few for myself. Our master bedroom could really use a new poppy piece!
Don't forget to head on over to our shop to buy a few for yourself!
Thanks for stopping by!
